Professional Development for Common Core Success

EL Professional Development for Schools and Districts

Expeditionary Learning (EL) offers classroom-ready professional development experiences to prepare K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, and district and school leaders to support Common Core student success.

WHAT EL OFFERS

In EL’s on-site, hands-on workshops, participants tackle the “what” and the “how” of implementing the new standards with rigor and quality.

The “What”

Participants engage with EL’s teacher and student-friendly curriculum modules that provide models of Common Core-aligned lessons, assessments, and student projects.

Participants study and analyze exemplars of high-quality student work, drawn from EL’s Center for Student Work, that bring successful implementation of the standards to life.

The “How”

Participants observe and practice proven instructional strategies - drawn from EL’s 19-year history of working with a diverse network of high-achieving schools - that support students as they tackle challenging Common Core-aligned work.
