Architecture is a curious thing; there is no conversation, written description, or photograph that can fully describe the actual experience of walking through a building.

Harborside is about discovering each student’s inner potential through a strong sense of community and enduring friendships. The phrase, “Nobody eats alone at Harborside,” has become a mantra widely accepted by students. This school-wide focus on the steady inclusion of all students has created our positive school culture. The relationships we’ve been able to build have given us a set of skills to cooperate with each other and think about the world in new ways. 

Thanks to Sam Chaltain, who says, "This movie was produced by five-year-olds as a culminating project for a study of butterflies and habitats. It’s worth noting that this happened at a first-year-school that had never done this sort of thing before. Just to underscore that this sort of thing is possible anywhere, as long as the community is committed to letting kids demonstrate what they’ve learned in engaging, creative ways."
