What does "engagement" look like in education?

What does engagement look like?

In the coming months, we will feature stories of engagement:  students engaged in their own learning for the first time, teachers engaged in powerful new ways of thinking about education, and classes engaged in making their communities better places.  We will look at schools engaged in transforming themselves and the neighborhoods they're in and educational leaders engaged in making teaching and learning about more than just test scores.  We will hear stories from students, teachers, leaders, and parents.
