EL National Conference February 28-March 2, 2013
EL schools build leadership in students in many ways: by engaging them in work that offers opportunities for real contributions to their communities; by joining a focus on character, citizenship, and service to academic learning; and, by striving to ensure that all students master a rigorous body of knowledge and skills that equip them for readiness and success in college and life.
The 2013 National Conference will feature master classes taught by EL staff, teachers, and school leaders that highlight:
- The curricular, instructional, and assessment practices that inspire student to work hard, own their own learning, and contribute to a better world.
- The structures that foster students’ development as leaders, scholars, and citizens.
- Connections to the demands of the Common Core State Standards.
